The 2027 Global Recruitment Site Platforms Survey is Open!
Happy Friday Job Board Doctor friends!
I am currently sitting at Luton airport after a whirlwind month of flying around a couple of continents and seeing so many of your fantastic faces.
As I head back to my village to hide out for a few days and recuperate, I know there has been a lot of news over the last few weeks and a lot more is coming.
Talroo brings clarity to improve new-hire retention
You filled the seat, but not with someone who plans to stay. The candidate made it through your entire interview process while quietly interviewing with other companies that pay 25% more.
When expectations aren't clear up front, retention suffers.
Get clarity up front with Talroo's SmartQualify.
Next week, in particular, I will be back with some news in the ongoing battle between the Randstad and the former Monster employees in France. Trust me, you will want to catch this one.
A special thanks to the team at Job Boards Connect, and the fabulous Louise’s for the event I am staggering home from. The content was top-tier and the conversations were focused on creating better experiences for job seekers who choose to trust our platforms with their search.
My favorite quote from the event (with no context just for fun)….”APIs are dead.” Want to know more, ask me.
ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!
It is that time of the year again and I need you all!
This survey is the only independent, cross-industry benchmark built by and for the people who run recruitment sites: job boards, aggregators, niche platforms, sourcing tools, staffing agencies. No vendor funds it. No one is selling anything off the back of it. The data exists because operators like you contribute it, and it only works when enough of us do.
The annual Global Recruitment Site Platforms Survey is now collecting responses for the 2026-2027 edition. It takes about fifteen minutes, responses are anonymous, and results are reported only in aggregate.
Last year’s edition drew 103 operators across 13 regions.
A few of the findings shaped how the industry talked about itself over the past year: 48% of respondents derive 81-100% of their revenue from job advertising, 48% reported flat or declining posting volumes year over year, and 68% were testing or had integrated AI tools. Email job alerts came out as the highest-quality traffic source, rated higher quality by 72% of respondents, while paid syndication ranked last at 17%.
Last year’s sample skewed toward North America, Western Europe, and the UK. This year I am putting in an extra push for broader representation. It will make the regional comparisons more useful for everyone.
Respondents who leave an email at the end receive the complete report before it is published. If you want to see how your traffic mix, product revenue ranking, and pricing plans compare against your actual peers, this is the most direct way to get it.

If you have not read the 2026 Global Recruitment Site Platform Survey yet, download it giving 15 minutes to weigh in on where we go in 2027.
Until Next Time,
