The Job Board Doctor team has received email copy and confirmation of what appears to be the first official communication from Bold.com leadership to CareerBuilder+Monster employees as part of the next steps in the acquisition.

Subject: Huge opportunities are at our doorstep

‘Hello CareerBuilder + Monster Team!

As I’m sure you’ve heard, BOLD has been selected as the winning bidder for the CareerBuilder + Monster job board business. We couldn’t be more excited. While the deal hasn’t officially closed, we wanted to let you know how much we’re looking forward to what’s ahead.

Doug and I have been in the career-technology industry for over 30 years. At large, with over 1200 employees, we have teams of other experienced executives and managers with deep industry ties and a wealth of insights and data on job seekers, employers, staffing firms and other industry participants.

Together, we believe that a big opportunity exists in the market to deliver smarter, more effective sourcing and recruiting solutions—and we intend to lead the way. With this in mind, BOLDers are excited to help you bring CareerBuilder + Monster into a new chapter, backed by our collective know-how and industry experience.

At BOLD, we’ve spent the last two decades helping people take control of their careers.  Our brands, such as MyPerfectResume, Zety, LiveCareer, bold pro and FlexJobs, help millions of people each year build resumes, search for jobs, explore new connections, and navigate their careers with greater confidence. And, we do this globally in over 20 languages.

Both Doug and I spent our early careers at Monster, and we’ve always respected the impact that Monster and CareerBuilder have had on the industry. These iconic brands have helped shape how people search for jobs and how companies find talent. We’re excited to carry that legacy forward and take them to new heights over the coming years.

We believe that by combining our teams and strengths, we can create something even more powerful. Together, we have a chance to build smarter tools, reach more people, and deliver greater value to the workforce and those who employ them around the world.

We’re working closely with your Executive Team, and we’re committed to a thoughtful transition. To avoid any confusion, we unfortunately will be pausing the international job board portal businesses, as they exist today.

But, we would like to make it clear that we plan to extend offers to hundreds of CareerBuilder + Monster teammates who reside and work in locations both inside and outside of the US, including the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia and other places we are identifying this week.

For now, please continue to do your best to complete your work in what we understand is a difficult environment. Someone from BOLD or CareerBuilder + Monster will be in touch, if they have not been already, on your next steps. Once the transaction closes, we’ll share more about our strategic plans.
